Supernatural multiplication — Gabe Barreiro

Mathew 15:34-A

S How many loaves do you have?

O Jesus was moved by compassion. When he saw that the people following him had a need for food, he wanted to meet that need. As he spoke the truth and ministered to the people in spiritual ways, he did not forget that they had physical needs as well. In this passage we see a holistic approach to Jesus ministry. He cares for body, soul and spirit.

A In many ways, a practical approach that we take to care for people verifies the Gospel message we preach.I love that our care ministry at WSFC in the last four and half years has provided “hundreds of meals” for people when they were in need. People have been encouraged by the practical approach to caring and compassion we have all provided in making meals. In every meal we have communicated the message, “I love you and care for you in Jesus Name”

All of the meals we have put together, is an amazing amount of love we have given to people in need. I am so proud to be a part of that accomplishment. Maybe we made the mistake to think, “It’s just a meal.” Well now we can see that in Gods eye, our little amount can make a big difference.

God calls us to give what we can and then he does the rest in touching a person’s heart. Our little amount became a holy and blessed amount in God’s hands. The supernatural power of God multiplying his love is happening at WSFC.

P Lord there are times when I believe that what I have is insignificant to touch a person with your love. Help me to believe that you can use my little amount of money, talents, time, and resources to make a big difference in a person’s life. Help me to be obedient and then watch you work to touch people with your love. Thank you for the amazing people of WSFC who have truly loved others.

It’s awesome how Jesus can provide everything from nothing, yet he first asks us for the “nothing” to be brought to him in order to create. And then, if that isn’t enough, he performs the miracle and then tells us that with a mustard seed of faith we can perform even greater miracles. Praise God!
