Praying for others

Luke 7:2-3

S There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.

O The centurion could as for help from the Lord, for even his servant, whom he cared about. We can pray for our friends and family and our prayers will be heard.

A I have been asking the Lord about prayer. He knows my need and the needs of all around me. I don’t want to sound repetitive or just babbling to the Lord.

Here he let’s me know that when I pray for others I am not babbling. He want me to be aware of those around me or how else could I bring God’s glory to them.

I am also reminded of Luke 18:1-8, the parable of the persistent widow. Repeating our wishes in prayer is something we should do.

P Father, you are gracious and kind to answer my question. Thank you for your reassurance. I pray for all who need your light and all who need your touch in healing.

Blessed be your name,

Amen

The great thing about prayer is that you can do it anywhere…you don’t have to have any money to do it…you don’t have to dress up…you don’t have to use 12 syllable words…sometimes a cry is good enough…The Lord knows what we need before it emblazons the thoughts in our head…when we feel that there is not a soul in the world that understands our pain…He does… and He invites us to talk about it…that is all that prayer is…communication with Him about the people and things in our lives…I am so glad that He is there to listen…

When we pray to God, it kinda like when our kids talk to us about stuff… He is so excited to hear from us about our day, our needs, even our desires and dreams. He loves to hear our praises to Him and build relationship with Him daily.
