Jesus said follow me and, boom, they “dropped everthing” they knew in life. Christ is standing with us right now asking us to drop everything and follow him yet we try to follow him while holding on to our nets also. We are so dumb not to realize that the blessings come when we fully sacrifice ALL and not just hear his request but listen to his plea. That last part of this scripture is so incredibly powerful…”At once they left their nets and followed him.” Oh, how I long to be a disciple who is capable of leaving it ALL behind.

Jesus uniquely calls us out of this world. He reaches us in so many differnt ways. What does not change is the response he cals us to. We can not truely follow the Lord unless we obey him and be willing to follow him in total abandonment.

You are so right! You are a great model of servant evangelism, Aaron. You have been willing to give up so much for the sake of the Call; and God has blessed you abundantly for it. I want to be like you “when I grow up”.
