We are the Lord’s Handiwork–Janelle Chandler

Jeremy and Janelle

John 15:2

S He cuts off every branch that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

O The Lord has to be constantly shaping us and making us stronger. It is an ongoing process that we must all endure because we were all designed to bear fruit and be a light in the world.

A You know, no matter how many times I hear or read that the Lord puts trials in front of us for a reason I still often question those trials. But at the end of the day we are still expected to continue to grow and never become stagnant in our walk with Him. The Lord made us to bear fruit and if there is no evidence of that fruit He has every right to prune that part of our life. As a gardener you have to constantly prune and shape your plants to produce large and healthy fruit and it is a long process to get there but once you do it is so worth it. I can’t even imagine how much time He puts into just me, and I am so thankful for that.

P Dear Lord, I desire to be the servant you want and I know I need you to continue to prune my branches, so my prayer is that you give me the strength to go through the things that you feel necessary to shape me into that servant. Lord please give me the words and the tools that I need to be successful in the path that you have placed before me. Amen

Good stuff Janelle! I feel the same way… I can’t imagine how much time Jesus puts into me. I have a flower pot in our back yard that is flowering nicely. A friend came over for dinner and in our time together they showed me some pruning techniques. They said the flowers would increase if I pruned. It’s been a couple of weeks…the flowering has doubled!
Thats our hope that with the Lord pruning our friutfulness will increase. Go ahead Lord, do your pruning. Ouch!?
I see Jesus in you Janelle.
    Blessing Gabe

I have watched some of that pruning being done in your life and the results have been amazing! That pruning has caused you to grow and sprout into a beautiful blossom of God’s creation, the beautiful Christian woman that you are!

As your mom I say, Dear Lord keep pruning but please be gentle! I love you.

Thanks for the good word. I see the fruit in your life as you love and serve our children. I need to be reminded that the painful process of pruning eventually yields good results!
