Spiritual Milk - BPierson
1 Peter 2:2
S Like newborn babies crave pure spiritual milk so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.
O This scripture is a reminder of the absolute need for people to be connected to Jesus (the Word). Newborn babies live on milk. That’s all they can swallow. It is their sustenance.
A I need the reminder of my desperate situation. I think that I am fine on my own. I think that I’ve learned a lot, I’m pretty smart, and I’ll be ok if I just think about God in times when I really need Him. There is no “When”. I am a baby and He is my milk. He’s all that I can survive on. It’s also key for me to make sure that my milk is pure; in other words straight from the source. Just like Avery (my 14 month son) can smell sour milk, and knows not to drink it, I too need to be sure that I drink and live on only fresh milk that comes straight from God my father.
P Jesus I repent for settling with sour milk or even starving myself by not drinking milk. I want to be vibrant and alive. I want to be a healthy Christian: I drink from one pool. You are my source.

Blake,
Great word man. I think it is simply put that He is the only source that we should drink from. I hear so often people that “don’t get fed” from their church when it is always up to us to feed ourselves and pour our milk into other’s cups when we are overfilled with the Holy Spirit.
Keep rockin it stud,
Jer
