His blood is enough - GBarreiro
Hebrews 9:28
S Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
O Jesus death on the cross was sufficient. He died once for all. The author of Hebrews mentions in verses 12, 26, 28 that Jesus died once as if to remind us of what Jesus said himself. His final words were “It is finished.” The blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross was more than enough to cover all my sin and the sins of the world, past present and future. Jesus was the perfect atonement of our sin. V 14 says, how much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Today I am reminded of the precious blood of Jesus. His blood was shed for me. He was the unblemished Lamb of God who died for me. Verse 14 points out my response to his sacrificial work “so that we may serve the living God.”
Today I have full assurance of my place with God. God’s acceptance of me is not because of what I have done or have not done. But because of Jesus and every drop of blood that was shed was more than enough to redeem me and reconcile me to God and now my only response is living to serve him in freedom not wondering where I stand with God.
Finally in verse 28 I am reminded to wait for his return. He is coming back soon! I’m reminded that life is properly focused when it includes the reality of his return. Not a day wasted, and not a day to be thrown away because the days are short and he is coming soon. I want to make each day count by living for his glory and honor.
P Lord Jesus, I honor & praise you and give myself to you in response to you giving yourself for me. Lord Jesus come soon, so that I may see you face to face and once again worship you and adore you for who you are and your great sacrifice on the cross. Your blood is more than enough.
