No Turning Back - GBarreiro
Genesis 24:6
S “Make sure that you do not take my son back there,” Abraham said. “The LORD, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give this land’
O Abraham. Was a man who believed the promise of God. Abraham believed God when he left his home to a land God was calling him. He already had come so far and all along the way God was faithful. Abraham had laid his son on the alter and God provided a sacrifice. He knew his son would also participate in the oath that God gave Abraham.
A I love Abraham’s - No Turning Back Attitude. There have been so may times I wanted to turn back and do something else in my life other than being a pastor this was not a last resort decision. This was a call to a life of faith that God has called me to. Today I reminded to not hesitate not to turn back no matter what. Although I feel like and would be happier done something else I knew in the end I would be miserable not waling out the plans God has set before me. This is a “no turning back” life style God has chosen for me.
P Lord, help me to resist the temptation of having a grass is greener attitude about life. Help me to develop character that preserves. Help me to have the strength to walk in the good and bad with a heart that believes you have plans in both times in life. Lord help me to alway have vision for what is ahead as I’m faithful to what is in front of me now.
